Established in 2003 under Live Productions cc, the company pioneered a new market as South Africa's only active company dedicated to snow-related activations, bringing the "magic of snow" to warm and cold climates alike.
With a history rooted in delivering high-profile international events, Snow Productions offers a full spectrum of services — encompassing concept design, event planning, implementation, and end-to-end event management.
The business maintains a strong global presence, operating with branches in Cape Town and West Virginia, USA.

Uses a technical mix of fresh water, air, and liquid nitrogen to generate 100% natural powder snow. Insensitive to ambient air temperature, allowing large-quantity production in just hours.
Crystallized Water Method
For extended, multiple-day activations, this method crushes sheets of ice — created via natural crystallization using only power and water — into genuine snow.

Mark Wilson
Owner & Director
Mark Wilson is the Owner and Director of Live Productions, now operating as Snow World SA. With nearly two decades of experience, Mark is a highly specialised expert in warm weather snow and ice production.
For the past 19 years, the company has successfully delivered a wide spectrum of snow and ice-related events, managing every phase from concept design and event planning to implementation and full event management.
A testament to his inventive spirit is the personal development of a unique solid ice toboggan slide system engineered specifically for indoor events. Beyond logistics and technical production, Mark's expertise extends to set design, décor, and theming.
