Privacy Policy

Snow Productions respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This page explains what we collect through this website, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number, event type and message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry and quote for your event. The form sends them to us by email and sends you a copy confirming we received them. The website does not store them in a database, and we do not add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.

Analytics, only if you accept. With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and whether a quote request or a call or email link was used). Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. They are not set, and nothing is sent to Google, unless you click Accept on the cookie notice.

Your cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or declined in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page. This is not sent to us.

Your choice about cookies

Declining analytics cookies doesn't affect anything else on the site. You can change your mind at any time: use Cookie settings (also in the footer) to clear your choice and the analytics cookies, and the notice will ask you again.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers (operators) who process information on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts the website and processes standard request logs, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect it.
• Resend delivers the enquiry emails sent from the contact form.
• Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Our email provider holds the enquiries we receive in our inbox.

These providers are based in, or store data in, countries outside South Africa, including the United States. We rely on their contractual data-protection commitments to keep your information protected to a standard comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you become a client and we need them for that work. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email mark@snowproductions.co.za and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to enquiries to the people who need them to reply to you.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Get in touch.
